This is a handmade purple hood tie hat that had two large black velvet circles on the side and an oval on top appliqued on it for a bug-ish design. The wings are lined with a velvet black and made using a white sheer fabric with black velvet polka dots. There are four wings attached on the back that resemble a dragonfly and the wings are flexible so that dancers can raise their arms without getting stuck on a hard wire. (Some of my hats do use a harder wire.)
